Abstract: Objective: To observe effects of different extracts from Salsola on blood pressure in hypertension rats. Methods: Sprague-Dawley rats were injected L-NNA to achieve murine hypertension models, then were given different extracts of Salsola and the systolic pressure(SP), diastolic pressure(DP) and heart rate (HR) were recorded. Conclusion: Two kinds of extracts of Salsola all have effective hypotension results in rats with L-NNA caused hypertension, There was statistically significant difference in comparisons between before and after being given medicine (p<0.01), and the alkaloild effects of depressing blood pressure are better than alcoholic extracts.
