Abstract: Objective: To investigate the regulate effects of Polysaccharides isolated from Cyclocarya paliurus (Batal.) Iljinskjk (PCP)on human cervical carcinoma HeLa cells and human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVEC) in vitro. Methods: MTT method was used to observe the effects of PCP, which were acquired by different extraction methods, on the HeLa and HUVEC cells respectively at different concentration. Results: PCP I and II can both inhibit the proliferation of HeLa cells extremely (p<0.01) at the concentration of 50, 100, 200, 400μg/ml. PCP I and II can influence the growth of HUVEC cells, but Inhibition of cell proliferation was not sharp; PCP can’t influence the growth of HUVEC cells at the concentration which the inhibitory rate of PCP is the most distinct on HELA cells (200μg/ml). Conclusions: PCP can significantly inhibit the proliferation of HeLa cells, and it can’t influence the growth of HUVEC cells at the concentration which the inhibitory rate of PCP is the highest on HeLa cells.
